Obituary of Angelo Cesare Fera

FERA, Angelo Cesare - After a short and courageous battle, Angelo Cesare Fera passed away surrounded by family at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Giuseppina Fera (Aquino) with whom he shared 47 years. He will always be remembered by his four children Giovannina, Vincenzo of Calgary, Angela (Tim Portugaise) of North Bay, and lastly, Pietro (Christine) of Sault Ste. Marie who along with their children were his constant love and support. Loving nono to Bianca, Cassandra and Justin of Calgary, and Tianna, Alexander and Nicolas of Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by his parents Vincenzo and Giovannina (Carbone) Fera and his parents-in-law Florindo and Marietta (Crocco) Aquino, all of Cellara, Cozenza. Fondly remembered by his sister Elvira (late Arturo) Borghese and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Franco and Franca Aquino of Connecticut. Predeceased by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Filiberto and Amalia Aquino of Cellara, and Luisa and Carlo Scarpino of Sault Ste. Marie. Special father and friend to Jerry and Dale Fortier.  Also fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including Luigi and Fedora Scarpino, Anna Ryan (Dave), Mario Scarpino, and Pina and Aldo D’Agostino. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-778) on Monday, June 26 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Northwood Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Daniele Muscolino officiating. Internment at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum to follow. Memorial donations may be made in Angelo’s memory to the SAH Foundation.
