Obituary of Michael Varnus Doan

It is with overwhelming sadness that the family announce the passing of Michael V. Doan on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the age of 25. A bright light in our home; smart, warm-hearted and always quick to give a hug. His work ethic, determination, and integrity were something to behold. Taken from us much too soon. Beloved son of Nancy and Michael. Adored brother of Eli and Vanessa. Grandson of the late Anne and John Theriault and Mary Theresa Doan (late Van). Nephew to Roberta Miller, Jack Theriault (Gerry), Pat Nanne (Michael), Paul Theriault (Janice), Peter Theriault (Kim), Kenny Theriault, Leonard Theriault, Hyla O’Boyle (late Peter), Lori Griggs (Joe), Lynne Miller (Kip), Maureen Bartolucci (Rick), Lorraine Duncan (George), Jim Doan (June), Carolyn Donovan (John), John Doan (Mary), and Barbara French (Mike). Loved cousin of many, friend to all who knew him. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Saturday July 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Paul Conway officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the local Canadian Tire Jumpstart program would be appreciated by the family.
