I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing and my condolences to all who loved him. We went to Sir James Dunn together and he had quite the network of friends, of which I am privileged to say I was part of - we were all a pretty tight group backnthen. I have been gone from "the Soo" for longer than I lived there and I had no idea that Don was such an important part of the indigenous community - what a blessing that is. Tammy Irwin.

It is with sadness that I fill out this condolence for Don. To the McBain family I am sorry for the deep grief I know you are feeling. Don I apologize for never taking you up on the offer to come to Sault Ste. Marie for a round of golf during the few days the courses are open but I hope one day you book a tee time and we can tee it up together.
From a professional perspective I will miss that deep resonating voice I hear so clearly from across the stadium sized room as you voice your opinion on how best organizations can assist those most in need and how to create an effective business out of social housing.

Don McBain is a man that I met and had the privilege of speaking with at many different housing conferences; his focus and passion was that of helping Indigenous Peoples find a safe place to call home. His advocacy was unparalleled and he was a man that was respected by all who knew him. Don was not only a great husband and father, but he was also a mentor and friend to those that he worked with.
