Obituary of Luciano Turco

Peacefully passed away surrounded by his family at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at the age of 86.  Loving husband of Emma for 60 years.  Dear father of Reno (Suzanne), Frank, John (Susan)and the late Mario.  Cherished Nonno of Nicolas (Sarah Bressan), Daniel, Jesse (Caitlin) and Jacob.  Predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Teresa Turco. Brother of Assunta Giannotta (late Giuseppe), Ida Naccarato (late Luigi), Franco Turco (Angelina), late Vittorio Turco (Pina), Emilia Ciurdullo (late Pasquale), Giuseppe Turco (Rosetta) and Vanda Presta (Gianni).  Son-in-law of the late Salvatore and late Agata Palumbo. Brother-in-law of the late Rose Brescacin (late Gino), late Pietro Palumbo, late Franca Orlando (late Rinaldo), late Frank Palumbo (Rita) and Luigi Palumbo (Silvana). Nephew of the late Francesco Turco (late Angela). Special cousin of Franca (Luigi). Luciano will be dearly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass at St. Gregory’s Church on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Eric Pannike officiating.  Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the SAH Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  Special thanks to the wonderful nursing and support staff on 2A and especially Dr. Bowen.
