Obituary of Mary Sheila McLennon

Passed away peacefully at the Ontario Finnish Rest Home on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the age of 87.  She is now reunited with her loving husband Kevin.  Dearly loved mother of Donna Tadashore (Chuck), Patty Flammia (Sandy), Kevin Jr., Theresa Letang (Norm), Ramona (Dan Parise), and Sean (Tammy).  Cherished Granny of Michael (Sue), Lianne (Clayton), Megan, Sam, David, Anthony (Noel), Brian (Jaela), Tyson (Carissa), Laura and Josh (Sherysa). Treasured Great Granny of Sophie, Aliyah, Connor and Bryson. The oldest of 8 children, Sheila was predeceased by Norma and is survived by 3 brothers, 3 sisters and family in Ontario and Newfoundland.  She will be remembered for taking care of others as a Registered Nurse for over 37 years.  Mom, we will forever miss our family dinners and Wednesday lunches with the girls.  Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, SAH Cancer Care Fund or Ontario Finnish Rest Home Mauno Kaihla Koti would be appreciated by the family.  A special thank you for the care and compassion shown to mom and our family by the staff at Mauno Kaihla Koti.  We are forever grateful to Monsignor Vic Amadio for his guidance and friendship throughout mom’s journey.
