Obituary of Brian McGill Porter

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Brian at his home on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the age of 58.  Loving husband and best friend of Jewel for 34 years. Cherished father of Amy and Trevor.  Dearly loved son of Lois and the late Merwyn Porter.  Dear brother of Phil (Lorraine). He will be missed by the Kennedy and Porter families and his many nieces and nephews. Brian will be missed by his furry friends Zoey, Ziva, Bella, Max and Lady. He was an avid lover of sports and enjoyed being in the kitchen preparing a meal or two. A celebration of life will be held at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the first responders for the compassion shown to our family.
