Obituary of Reta Rajka Beauchamp
“A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.” Rajka is a derivative of Radmil. (Rad) meaning well disposed, happy, joyful, glad and (mil) meaning kind, dear, nice, gracious, gentle and mild. It is with great sorrow that we her children announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mom on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Sault Area Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Justin. Cherished Mom of Terry (Emilie) of Windsor ON, Cindy, Wendy Nichols, Barry (Bev) and Larry (Leigh) of Raleigh, N.C. Treasured grandmother of Christina (Mike), Justin, Brandon, Sasha and Joe. Great grandmother of Ariel, Bethany, Ciara, Michael and Sophia. Reta was the last surviving child of Katica and Joseph Yukich. Sister of Rose Wysynski (Alec), Antoinette Chikoski, John (Mary), George, Edward (Shelby) and Ann Zeppa (Speed). Sister-in-law of Agnes Haggerty and pre-deceased by Wilfred (Lois), Rita Allen (Angus), Gibb (Evelyn), Winston (Mary) and Doreen Carroll (Dan). Reta will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She touched many lives and coordinated the best parties through her work with S.S.M.R.C.S.B. and the Water Tower Inn. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Parish on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Boguslaw Jarosek officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to Jeff and Diane Ross Movement Disorder Clinic (Bay Crest Hospital 3360 Bathurst Street, Toronto, ON M6A 2E1) would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the staff of the F.J. Davey Home (Apple Orchard 2) for their dedicated care and to Dr. G. Kleiner and Chris Masters R.N. for their medical expertise and compassion.
