Obituary of Dieter Schoepfner

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Dieter on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the age of 54.  Cherished husband and best friend of Carla.  Proud and devoted father of D.J. (Olivia), Emily (Lance) and Matthew. Treasured son of Rolf and the late Anne Schoepfner.  Loving brother of Ralph and Kim Schoepfner and Ingrid and David Middaugh.  Dear son-in-law of Frank and Carmela Guido.  Special brother-in-law of Mary and Joe Bower.  Dear uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Dieter worked as a locomotive engineer for the ACR and CN Rail for over 35 years and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Funeral mass to follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. Gerard Majella Church (211 Pentagon Boulevard) with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Emily and Matthew’s Education Fund-payable to Carla Guido-Schoepfner In Trust would be appreciated by the family.
