Obituary of Elizabeth Mary "Betty" Rooney

Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Hugh Rooney for 59 years. Loving mother of Hugh Jr. (Michelle), Paul (Charlene), Gerard (Donna), Angela (Rob), Catherine (Joe), Mike (Channa) and Patrick (Cathy). Grandma of Shannon (Chris), Daryl, Graeme, Holly, Sam, Corey (Mindy), Chris (Kim), Cystal (Dave), Jordan (Jess), Jaslyn, Hannah, Gerid, Candace, Joey (Jodilyn), Thomas, Amy (Dave), late Travis Turcotte (Megan), Braxton, Colton, Cassie and Hailey. Great Grandma of Kayla, Ariya, Beya, Jackson, Nolan, Isla and Hunter. Sister of Phyllis (Willie), Phil, Tony (Margie) and Pat. Loving sister-in-law of Frank (Maureen), Micheal (Brenda), Patricia, Joseph, Roseanne (Davey). Elizabeth will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends both in Canada and Scotland. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral Service to take place in the chapel at 1:00 pm with Rev.
