Obituary of Michael Mahn

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Michael Mahn on Friday, December 22, 2017. Beloved son of Evelyn and Ken Anstice (Balloon Man) and the late Mike Sr. He leaves behind his devoted and loving wife Holly, and their daughter Michaela (Marcus) and his children Michael Jr. (Sarah) of Cedarville and Melissa Malloy (Chad) of Caro, Michigan. Grandfather to Hunter, Gabrielle and Emmerson. Step-brother of Kenny and Carolyn. Adored son-in-law of Valeda Overland (late Ray). Brother-in-law of: Carol Tooley (Bob) of Florida, late Valerie DeMolin (Richard) of North Dakota, Patricia MacLean (Wayne), Albert, Timothy (Rhonda) and James (Tammay) Overland. Special uncle to Jordan, Caitlyn, Casey, Jesse and Jamie, and numerous nieces and nephews and family members. Mike was a man of many interests. He pursued everything with determination - no half measures, from "Rotary Wing" at Canadore to radio announcer (CJNR), Air-Dale Ltd., building and construction, snowmobiling, farming and forestry. He was passionate about cars and worked at many dealerships throughout the Sault: Prouse Motors, Riverside Chrysler, Bostons, Travelade Motors ("Toyota Mike"), just to name a few. There he met numerous people and made many business acquaintances and friends. Mike had a wealth of knowledge and experience and was thought of as the "go-to-man". If he didn't have the answer, he knew who to call or ask and where to find it. He was always willing to go the extra mile for family and friends. His passing has left a huge void - one that can never be replaced. Mike was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Mocha Shrine of London, Ontario. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service in the chapel on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11 am with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial donations to the Montreal Shriners Hospital or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Members of the Masonic Lodge are requested to assemble at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 10:30 am for a Memorial Service for the late Michael Mahn.
