I worked with Carolyn in Victoria for VIHA and she had the most unique laugh! I won't forget our summer outing with 10 clients to the lake. Taking popsicles for the lake and getting quite lost in the 15 min drive since I was new to the island. The popsicles were almost slurpees by the time we finally got to the lake and Carolyn laughed so hard at my lack of direction. Once there....the 'beach' side was chock full of goose poo...but our clients enjoyed every minute anyway. It was a fond memory of Carolyn that I've never forgotten....she will be missed and clearly was loved by all!

I was very saddened to hear this news, although I had not seen Carolyn for many decades, she was one of my first school friends, we met at CW Sullivan. Denise, I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the sorrow you are feeling. I had many conversations with Carolyn and she spoke of how excited she was with the new move. We shared other things like growing up in Brampton Ontario. I will always keep my friendship with Carolyn in my heart.

To Denise, Bill, Frances and the extended Power family, my sincere condolences on this shocking news! The sad news travelled very quickly through the group of high school friends that are still in touch with each other. We were all so saddened to hear of Carolyn's very untimely passing! I am so sorry to hear about the unexpected passing of Carolyn. I worked with her at the Oak Bay/ Gordon Head health unit and she was always so willing to help me find things and answer as best she could my many queries. She always was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. I know she was looking forward to the changes that were ahead for her after leaving our health unit and I am sure she will be greatly missed by your family. Take good care of yourselves

Carolyn we miss your big smile and even bigger heart. You and Denise were always so thoughtful and caring towards us. We shared lots of laughs and beverages at Tim Horton's. You were always willing to offer a helping hand - meeting us at the gate and carrying our chairs to the Jann Arden concert at Butchart Gardens (what a great concert it was), warming us with blankets on your deck overlooking the lake and offering us rides if ever we needed one. We will always think of you when we cook ribs as we know you enjoyed them and we will miss watching the July 1st ball games together as well as the parade. Our lives have been enriched by knowing you and we will always be there for Denise.
