Unexpectedly at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Ownie. Loving mother of Jennifer (John Wishart), Dennis (Donna), Susan Chanda (Bob), Terry, John (Giselle) and Brian. Daughter of the late Gordon and Alma Pickard. Daughter-in-law of the late John and Rose Jones. Grandma to 13 grandchildren; Anna, Tommy, John, Bobby, Michael, Rebecca, Jason, Melissa, Ryan, Taylor, Aaron, Carli and Dana. Great Grandma to Emily, Lauren, Thomas, Julian, Blake, Leah, Naomi, Natalia and Dallas. Survived by her sister Verlyn Smith (Harold) and predeceased by June Jones (Gerald), Gordie Pickard (late Evelyn), late Bill Pickard (late Marigold), late Eddie Pickard and late Joyce Mitchell (late Herbert). Sister-in-law of the late Margaret Groen (Hans), late Ben (late Melba and Bonnie Lavoie), late Donald (Jean), late Arnold and the late Luella Ambeault (late Harold). Lois will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends and her church family. Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the Chapel on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Scott Krug officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Mountain View Baptist Church or Goulais Fire and Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
