Obituary of Dennis Rathwell

Peacefully passed at his residence in Richmond, BC, with his wife Grace and daughter Dawn by his side on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the age of 73. Beloved husband and best friend of Grace Rathwell for 49 years. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Helen Rathwell. Devoted father of Marianne Leva (Anthony), Dawn Rathwell and Karen Wantuch (Joseph). Proud grandfather of Samantha Odber (Paul Courvoisier), Lacey Leva, Kelsey Leva, Garret Wantuch, Morgan Wantuch, Cooper Wantuch and Joshua Rathwell. Great grandfather of Caelum Courvoisier, Griffin Courvoisier and Sophia Leva. Loved brother of Donald Rathwell (Beryl), Mary McCracken, Paulette Nikkinen (Raymond) and the late Joanne Rathwell. Dennis will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews that he held dear to his heart. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Canon Earl Burke officiating. Memorial donations to the MS Society or the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated in lieu of flowers.
