Obituary of Robert Wilding

Due to a stroke, Bob passed away at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the age of 71. Devoted husband of Micki. Proud and loving father of Marty, Mathew (Kara) and Scott (Kristy). Grandfather of Sarah, Nathan, Roxie, Stella, Greta and Isla. Son of Jerry Wilding (Mary) and the late Betty. Brother of Bonnie Hammond (Gary). Uncle of Suzanna and Racheal (Dan). He will fondly be remembered by Donna Wilding. Bob retired from Algoma Steel after 33 years. After retirement he devoted his life to family and volunteering. He spent the last 30 years of his life giving back to others in the hope of making a difference in any way he could. He was a devoted volunteer to many agencies including the United Way, Sault College and the YMCA. Bob will be honoured by the Province of Ontario for his 30 years of dedicated volunteering on April 23, 2018. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial Service to be held in the chapel on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial donations to ARCH would be greatly appreciated.
