Obituary of Norma Tina Tonucci
“The death of a mother is heartbreaking”. With profound sadness, we announce the passing of this beautiful, loving, kind, sweet lady on May 3, 2018 in her 90th year. Born in Fano, Italy, she was predeceased by parents Luigi and Zelmira Baldelli. Selfless devoted mother of Carla, and Diana Kovacs (Zoltan). Adoring Nonna of Nadia Zanatta (Nicholas) and Bronson Kovacs. Sister of the late Ennio Baldelli (Margo) and “Sorella and Best Friend” of Anna Petroni (late Philip). Remembered fondly by nieces, nephews and family in Canada and Italy. A talented and skilled seamstress, she took great pride in working for Virene’s for over 20 years. But her family was her greatest pride and joy. She was happiest cooking a wonderful meal for all of us to enjoy, and that, we did. After a prolonged and valiant battle with Parkinson’s Disease, this fierce warrior now says “It’s nice to be free”. Free, at last, to resume her joys of cooking, sewing, gardening and walking… may she smile in perpetuity. Respecting her wishes, a private family service was held. With deepest gratitude, the family would like to acknowledge the excellent and compassionate care provided by the staff of Driftwood Beach 2nd Floor at the F.J. Davey Home. In appreciation, and if you so desire, donations may be made to the F.J. Davey Home. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
