Obituary of James Nolan

After a courageous battle with cancer, James Nolan left us to walk with the Creator on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the age of 47. Left behind is his cherished partner Dawne Trozzo and her children Elissa, Kayle, Natasha and Christopher. He will be missed by is Mom Heather (Frank Morrison) and late father Arthur “Archie” Nolan (Judy Murphy-Nolan). James will be dearly missed by his very special sisters Crystal Nolan (Kevin Powley) and Peggy Nolan (Lloyd Rainville). Special uncle of Amanda (Jeff), Mitchell, Lance “Bear”, Tanya (Don) and Kassandra. He will be missed by extended family, friends and other Missanabie Cree members. A celebration of James’ life will take place at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A traditional drumming ceremony will take place at 2:00 p.m. followed by a potlatch feast in the lower lounge, please bring a dish to share. Memorial donations to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated. Special thanks to all the doctors and nurses at the Sault Area Hospital.
