Obituary of Audrey Elaine Gawant

Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Daughter of the late John and Mary Gawant. Fondly remembered by her siblings Elsie (late Ron), Fred (Judy) and Janice (Anthony). Cherished aunt of Greg (Jackie), Marla (Don), Eric (Sarah), Charissa (Jordan), Sam (Hollie), Katie (Frank) and Toni (Matt). Loved great aunt of 14. Beloved granddaughter of the late Fred and Annie Dowbenka. Audrey thanks our Lord for the mentors in her life, the late Sister Jean Gray, the Grey Sisters of Pembroke, Fred and Annie Dowbenka, Helen Ross and Diela Scott. Her most loyal companions were the dogs she cherished. At Audrey’s request, a private family Mass was held at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church with Father Jerry Lazoryk officiating. Memorial donations to the SAH Foundation would be appreciated. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the SAH for their care and compassion shown to our family over the last year.
