Obituary of Linda Marie Dunn

With a whole lotta love surrounding her, Linda lost her battle to cancer at ARCH on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in her 61st year. Linda was never one to back down from a fight and fight she did right till the end.  Linda was born and raised in Toronto and moved to Sault Ste Marie 5 years ago to be closer to her mom.  While she missed her friends and family back in Toronto, Linda quickly made new friends and their impact on her here made her incredibly happy. Linda was a very easy-going person who always had a smile on her face and that will be greatly missed. She leaves behind the love of her life Paul Lyons, his sister Lynn and his dad Bill.  Linda is predeceased by her mom and dad, Elsie and Russell Dunn. She leaves behind her best pals, sisters Sandy Power (Paul), Judy Bentham (Jason) and her brothers Steve (Grace) and Adam. Having no children of her own, Linda was proud to be “mom” to her nieces and nephews: Patrick Power (Kathleen), Tom Power (Katrina), Robert Dunn (Casey), Stacey Dunn (Kevin), Mackenzie Bentham, and her great niece & nephew Shawna Miskimin & James Power.  We cannot thank the following people enough for the wonderful care and support of Linda: Drs. Banks, Patterson, Voutsadakis & Apostle; the SAH ADCP’s team of nurses and support staff; CCAC - SSM, especially her wonderful care coordinator Ilena Robertson; her homecare nurses and support, especially Holly; and the incredible staff at ARCH who saw to Linda’s & our family’s every last need. As per Linda’s wishes, a private family service has taken place with cremation and Linda will be interred in Toronto later in the year.
