Dear David, Bobby, Kenny, Dennis and Kristy,
We spent lots of summer times together. Your growing family and the Kriwoy’s. Fond memories of teasing and comic books, corner stores and swimming. We have these memories because our parents were the best of friends. The kind of friendship that lasted in letters and photos shared even when we lived in different cities. Speed and Paul grew up together and could not have been more different. They loved baseball and their admiration for each other’s skill on the diamond grew into making each other better. I know that Speed made my dad better in many ways. They also loved a couple of girls from the Soo. Annie and Jean became fast friends and each raising 5 kids, supported each other thru tears and joys.
I will always be grateful for them in my life.
I’m happy to know Speed lived to know his great grandchildren! They got to know a generous and decent man. He expected people to be good. He wanted people to have a good time and take care of each other. So, who’s making meatballs this week?!
Hugs for the sadness today,
Lots of love for the life of Speed.
