Obituary of Tula (Laurie) Ann Nieder
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter, sister, aunt and mother at the age of 52, at her home in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.
She will be remembered for her free spirit, her talent as an artist, her kindness to others and her love of plants, all living creatures and drumming. Laurie graduated from University of Guelph with a BFA in Visual Art after attending St. Mary’s High School, Kitchener.
She leaves behind her deeply loved son, Noah Jefferies-Nieder, Windsor, Ontario and is survived by her mother Shirley (Bill), father George, brother Paul (Anne) all of Kitchener, Ontario and sister Shelley Bibby (Ian) of Windsor, Nova Scotia as well as nephews Gabriel, Elliot, Evan and Owen and niece Lily.
If you were blessed to be loved by Tula, then you know what love is. Tula’s capacity to love surpasses our understanding of it. Her sensitivity and love for all of life, were one of her many gifts that will be missed the most. Tula will continue to be held in the hearts of the many she blessed with her love and presence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to A New Link-Breton House, Sault Ste. Marie or Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
