Obituary of Giuseppe Rota

Peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at ARCH at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Carmelina. Proud and loving father of Emily Malcolm (Tony) and Franca McCuaig (Bill). Much loved Nonno of Colin (friend Kelsey), Celina, Tristan, Tianna and Aurora. Bis-Nonno of Anthony Giuseppe. Predeceased by his parents Augustino and Emilia Rota (nee Parise). Son-in-law of the late Antonio and Francesca Carpino (nee Coccimiglio). Beloved brother of Salvatore Rota (Rose) and the late Flora Rota. Sadly missed brother-in-law of the late Giovanni Carpino (late Maria), Ida Mauro (late Pasquale), Christina Turco (Francesco), Sara Carpino (late Francesco) and Emma Nicoletti (Nivio). Special uncle of Augustino Rota (Anita) and Tony Rota (Marsha). He will be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Veronica Catholic Church on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ron Ambeault officiating. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to ARCH would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank Bayshore nurses Michelle and Marnie, Dr. Maione, Dr. Buehner, the volunteers and staff at ARCH, the PSW’s who cared for Giuseppe and all our family and friends for the support given to our family at this time.
