Marc Dube was a genuinely good person, someone you could trust, and someone who had the best interests of our region at heart. Any time someone had a question about Port Hawkesbury Paper, he would immediately drop what he was doing and sincerely address it. He had integrity and put the mill on a path toward a more secure future. My condolences to you, his family. I will miss hearing his voice. Be proud of the mark he left here.

To Ronnie & Family,
We want to extend our heartfelt sympathies to you, your children and grandchildren. Ian and I were very fortunate to get to know Marc over the past 5 years in Port Hawkesbury. Ian worked at the Mill with Marc and I worked in business development in the region. As I'm sure you have heard many times, he was so much more to this community than just his role at Port Hawkesbury Paper. He would never just ask us about work, he always asked about our 3 children (whom we adopted from Nunavut). Marc will leave a void in Cape Breton that cannot be replaced. We came to think of him as a true friend and most definitely an "Embassador" for this region. Although we only got to meet you at a few mill events over the years, Ian and I just wanted to let you know we are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers and we're so sorry for your loss.

Condolences to Marc's family from my family in Port Hawkesbury, NS.
I knew Marc through work and he always had a smile and conversation with each and everyone who met him. I had the pleasure of meeting his wife on a grocery shopping trip one day and I was delighted to have Marc stop and introduce us. This showed to me, and all who knew him, that he was a warm, caring person who loved his family and wanted to share to those he knew. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Veronica, Boys and Family,
Words cannot begin to say how sorry I am to hear of Marc's passing. Working with Marc these past six years has been a real pleasure. He was such a positive person and always saw the good in people. I will miss our little chats and laughs - he was more than just a 'boss' (he would hate that word) - he was a friend. As Marc would say, "ah....it was fun!"
