Debbie and family, I am so sorry Debbie to hear the passing of Mike, I just am having a hard time believing that this has happened. I got to know Mike at Lake Superior State and he was such a hoot. Super guy, always laughing and friendly. I do remember saying to him that he found a great gal in you, and he reminded me of our kindergarten picture. There was never a finer man than Michael O'Brien.

Mike had this inner gift, which made him a special kind of person.
I have so many wonderful memories of Mike from my youth. I looked up to him, and was always elated when I had the chance to stay overnight or spending time at Balm Beach together with our families, or really, anything at all.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Mike. We grew up together on Regatta Crescent in Willowdale Ontario. I have such fond memories of the kind and gentle soul that was Mike. When he left the "hood" to go to the "Soo" I was also taken back. Through the years Mike was gracious enough to visit my parents back at the old house as often as he could..he was that kind of guy. I have thought of him often over the years and that is a result of actions of a life that leads me to a song lyric...." And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make".
