Obituary of Carole Irwin

Please share a memory of Carole to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Peacefully, wrapped in the loving arms of her family, Carole began her journey home to her Lord God. It is with great heartache that we announce the passing of our beautiful Carole, wife, mother and grams, on October 23, 2018.

Carole was the devoted loving soulmate, wife of 32 years and best friend to her husband, Brian. She was a precious mother and ‘Besties’ with her daughters and sons-in-law, Brianna and Jordan Forbes, and Rylee Irwin and Zack Vitiello. Carole was most loving Grams to her grandson, Hudson Forbes, the new love of her life. Carole was a cherished, loved daughter of Claudette and (late) Ronald Letang. She was a fun-loving sister and loyal friend to her siblings, Rick and Diane Letang, Norm and Theresa Letang, Joanne and Donnie Carter, and Ray and Rose Letang. She was daughter-in-law to (late) Olive and (late) Tom Irwin and loving sister-in-law to Robert and Carole Irwin, Marilyn Irwin-McLean and Kelly Dawson, David and Linda Irwin and (late) Tom and (late) Joanne Irwin. Carole was special Godmother to Renee Kelly and a beloved Aunt, “Great” Aunt, niece and cousin to many. Carole gathered many life-long friends, including cherished best friends, Lori Freiburger, Kelly Iaconis and her BFF Angel Vickey Luck.

Carole was a kind, beautiful soul. Her love for family and friends was always the top priority in her life. She forever saw the good in people and loved the simple things in life with incredible joy. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, family dinners, playing piano, and most of all she enjoyed laughing....She would often say, “The best times are when you laugh so hard, you can hardly breathe!” Carole especially loved the Christmas and Easter seasons. Carole’s belief in God was deeply personal. She trusted in Him throughout her whole life, knowing His love would guide her through every day. Her tenderness taught us how to be loving, caring, compassionate and kind, and she always extended a hand to others without any hesitation. She leaves behind many gifts to her children, such as strong family love and loyalty, a great work ethic and a courageous, happy approach to life. We will never forget such a compassionate, gentle woman. We will always carry her big hugs, hearty laugh and beautiful view of life in our hearts.

The family wishes to extend many thanks to Dr. Christine Rossi, Dr. Danny Hill, nurses and all of the staff of ARCH and the Oncology Unit at the Sault Area Hospital, who were compassionate and caring throughout her battle with lymphoma. A special thank you to Monica from Bayshore Home Health.
