Obituary of David Alexander Desjardins

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of David Alexander Desjardins, born on June 10, 1945. David passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on November 18, 2018 surrounded by his closest family. David will be welcomed by his parents Margaret Alice Bell and John Baptiste Desjardins

David leaves behind his best friend and love of his life Shirley and his many children David (Karen), Linda Lee (Adam), Lori, Tammy, Tonja (Cory), Tina (Jim), Jame, Chester (Lisa), Jeremy (Marion), Shawn (Amanda), Chantel (Jesse), Aleisha (Josh), April (Ryan), Ashley (Kevin) and son in law Jamie Crowe.

David will be missed dearly by his brothers and sisters Agnes (late Phillip), late Barbra (Fred), Vernon (Wanda), Benjamin (Ella), late Jack (Elise), late Alice, late Cecil, late Merlin, late Theresa, late Donna, and late Margaret (Earl).

David will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to Kim Bond, Tiffany Jacques, the staff on 3B and 3C, his doctor Dr. Bishop and all the staff at Sault Area Hospital for the care that he had received in his final months.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of David’s life on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. for a potluck come and go at the Batchewana Elder Complex (200 Gran Street). Memorial donations can be made in his honour to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund.
