Obituary of Marilynn Shaw

With profound sadness and heavy hearts our family announces the passing of our beloved wife and mother.   Jesus received His Christmas present on December 25, when Marilynn (age 77) left this earth to be with Him in heaven.  Loving wife and best friend of 60 years to Gordon; incredible mother to Christoffer, Doreen (Brian Little), Jim (Vic Miller), Jedean (Randy Polischuk), Julie (Trevor Smith), Joe (Tina), and Jennifer (Ron Biron).  Cherished Gramma of 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Predeceased by her parents Clarence & Marold Bartley and brother, Raymond.  Dearest big sister to Larry (Gloria), Julie (Ted Publuske), Dave (Martha), Eric (Jill), Jean Marie (Mike Campbell).  Sister-in-law to Elwin (Karen), Dale (Ann Marie), Jean (late Delbert Killam), and the late Lois McDonald, and Billy Shaw; daughter-in-law to the late James & Gertrude Shaw.  Special Aunt to many nieces and nephews.  Mom enjoyed gardening, needle-work, bird watching and faithfully attended church when she was well enough to do so.  Her welcoming smile, greetings of hugs, and gift of hospitality will be fondly remembered by all.  Funeral Services will be held at the Thessalon Bible Chapel (11 Huron St. W., Thessalon, Ontario) on Sunday, January 6, 2019 with Rev. Dale Shaw officiating, and Pastor David Presley assisting.  Visitation at 2:00 p.m. followed by a service at 3:00 p.m., luncheon to follow.  Internment at Eastnor Twp. Cemetery, Ferndale, Ontario in the Spring.  Donations can be made to Operation Smile, Canada (a ministry mom cared very much about), or the charity of your choice.
