Obituary of Luigi Oliana

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Luigi on Friday, January 5, 2019 at the age of 86. Son of the late Battista and Emilia Oliana. Cherished husband of Elia Oliana for 60 wonderful years. Loving father of Daniel (Elaine) and Richard (Tina). Proud Nono of Katheryn, Margaret and Steven. Brother of Narcisa (late Tony), Lidia (late Gino) and Peter (Shirley). Brother-in-law of Maria Pagot (late John), Corina Denardi (late Berto), Ida Fardin (late Marco) and Claudio DaRos. Uncle of Roger Pagot, late Evano Ortolan, Adrianno Ortolan, Manuela Barel, late Luca Barel, Eros Denardi, Vittoria Benetti and Maria Teresa DeStefani. Luigi (Louie) combined an inexhaustible work ethic with a passion for helping others. Always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved the outdoors and created a wealth of cherished memories with his family and friends camping, hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was his family and especially his cherished grandchildren which made him so immensely proud. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service in the chapel at 12:00 noon. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated by the family.
