Obituary of Shelley Vivian Pilon

(March 13, 1961 – January 5, 2019) - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shelley at home with her family by her side after a short battle at the age of 57. Shelley was the proud and loving mother to Marc Pilon and Kaitlyn Plastino.  She leaves behind her loving partner Michael Plastino, whom never left her side in her last days on this earth.  Shelley is the daughter of the late Walter and Ethel Hammerstedt.  Loving sister of Walter Jr. (Bonnie), Ann (Reg), Lois, David (Debra), Marilyn (Tom), Eric (Dirinda), Iris (Peter), Sandra (John) and Carl (Eleanor).  Sister in-law of the late Marie Plastino (Doug) of Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Adored Aunt of Derrek (Trisha), Amanda (Jeremy), David John, Andrea (Craig), Erin, Robert, Marion, Mhora, Jon, Samantha, Rayvon, Mitchell (Nicole), Lauren, Taylor, Adam, Aurora, Caed, and Lola.  Great Aunt of Teagan, Tyeson, Maliyah, Molly, McKenna, Cole, and Jackson. At Shelley’s request, a private service will be held.  Memorial donations to Tracy’s Dream, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Shelley’s family extends their sincere gratitude to the amazing group of friends, co-workers, nurses, and doctors whose care and compassion are beyond words.  A special thank you to Dr. Rossi and Sheila Hamilton for all their help during this difficult time, as well as Nurses Jennifer, Leah, and Kim at Bayshore Home Health.
