Obituary of Mike Hanchuk

Please share a memory of Mike to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mike had to say their final goodbye on Friday, January 18, 2019, at the age of 70. Loving husband, soul mate and best friend of Judi for 47 years. Loving father of Jason, Derek (Sara) and Michael (Alayna-Beth). Proud Gigu of Payton, Eli-Michael, Kendall and Arlo. Predeceased by his parents Mike and Stella Hanchuk. Beloved brother of Jennie Delvecchio (late Eddie), late Willa Kowalyk and the late Mary Reynolds. Brother-in-law of Dan McMillan (Josie). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Mike will always be remembered by his garage friends and the neighbours at Basswood Lake. Mike had an endless love for his family and always fulfilled his promises. He was relentless and bold but at the same time big hearted and honest. Mike was a hard-working man and his work ethic was second to none. Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 12:00 noon until time of the Memorial Service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Father Jaroslaw Lazoryk officiating. Memorial donations to SAH Critical Care Fund, ARCH or Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the ICU team for their continuous care and compassion shown to Mike and our family.
