Obituary of Paul Bychko Sr.

Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Paul Bychko Sr. passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his family at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, February 21, 2019.

Beloved husband of 48 years to the love of his life, Sharon Bychko. Devoted father to his two daughters Marcy Clayton (Alex D’Ettorre), Melinda Trepasso (Dave Bahun) and his son Paul Bychko Jr. (Celia). Cherished grandfather to his grandsons Spencer and Tyler Clayton, JP and Noah Bychko.

Treasured son of the late Peter and Mary Bychko. Loving brother of the late Walter Bychko (Lori) and Zenna Metcalfe (Richard). Special brother in law of Michelle and Donald Boissoneau Sr. and Katie and Dave Dilanzo. Uncle to Ryan, Candace, Lindsay, Courtney, Nikki, Rilee, Donald Jr. and Amanda.

Our Father the heroDad was truly the definition of stubborn, strong willed and determined. Whenever he was faced with an obstacle, he may have gotten knocked down, but he got up again and again and again. A man of very few words, Dad showed his love through his actions and will forever be remembered as a hard-working provider for his family; a trait that he instilled in his children.

Paul was a long-time and dedicated employee of Algoma Steel.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Gone, but never forgotten. Paul will forever be with us in our hearts, our memories, and in the faces of his grandsons who he loved so much.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Paul’s life at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to a trust fund for his grandchildren.

Special thanks to Dr. Booth of the Sault Area Hospital. Your knowledge, calm, gentle, and compassionate demeanor was truly appreciated during this difficult time. Thank you to nurses Emelia, Dave, and Doreen on 3B for their care.

If the love and dedication of your family could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
