Obituary of Ida Bruno

Peacefully passed away at the FJ Davey Home on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Bruno. Cherished mother of Frank (Ada), John (Cecilia) and Tony (Marie). Loving grandmother of Christine, Joseph (Julia), Ida and Melinda. Great grandmother of Noah and Thea. Dear daughter of the late Francesco and Anna Guzzo. Dear sister of the late Giovanni (late Erminia), late Cecilia Perri (late Pietro), late Pierina Pucci (late Vittorio), late Ortenzia Coccimiglio (late Guerino), late Antonio (late Fiorina), and Ermerinda Russo (late Antonio) of Italy. Daughter-in-law of the late Francesco and the late Angela Bruni. Sister-in-law of the late Francesca Bruni, late Angelo Bruni (late Antoinetta), late Ortenzia Cuglietta (late Gaspare), late Settimio Bruni (Iolanda) and the late Erminia Bruno (Giuseppe). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Ida was an amazing mother who dedicated all her time to her sons and grandchildren. Her devoted love for her sons was truly inspirational. She was an amazing cook and always had a welcoming cup of espresso and a biscotti ready for all of her many friends and relatives. She will be greatly missed by all. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at Precious Blood Cathedral on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Hamish Currie officiating. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the FJ Davey Home Foundation or the SAH Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to Dr. Fratesi for his special visits and many thanks to Dr. Apostle, Dr. Cheung, and all the wonderful support staff on the 2^nd floor at the FJ Davey Home (Birch) for their loving care over the many years.
