Obituary of Laurie Bougie
I leave you with these words…
I remain always in your hearts
as you all are in mine.
I have no fears.....
I don't want
any tears!
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Laurie, but we take great peace knowing she is now in the gentle loving arms of her mom, Myrla (December 17, 1996) and dad, Jack Stewart (June 24, 2017). Laurie leaves behind her best friend and husband Carey and her two sons Travis (Jessica) and Spencer Belsito (Allie), who she has always been so proud of. Laurie is the only girl and will be sadly missed by her three brothers Ken (Catherine), taylor (this one is for you uncle) and Marty (Richard). Laurie is loved and will be missed by her nephews Matthew, Andrew and Jonathan as well as many cousins, aunts, uncle and friends. At Laurie’s request, there will be no public service held. A private family gathering will take place. Memorial contributions to the Jocelyn Township Fire/Rescue or Light Haven Christian Retirement Home would be appreciated. A special thanks to her angel, Amy, all CCAC staff, Care Partners for their care and assistance. An extra special thank you to everyone who contributed in anyway, from prayers, love, support, texts, phone calls and donations. They kept Laurie determined and helped her stay positive. “I kept fighting because of all the love and support from Aunt Wendy, Christine (Allan), uncle Gord, Jodi; families Dave (Carla), Shawn and Jaki, Darren and Bob; Mert and Lori; Bucci’s staff; Barb (sis) and Jr (grampa), Rodney; Patricia, Josh & Sarah; Ken & Dixie; Greg & Henrietta, Ralph & Ester; Marsena and Scott; the Island Bible Chapel; Dr. Lupien and office (staff), Matthews Memorial Hospital, Thessalon Hospital, ambulance staff, Dr. White, Dr. Buehner, Dr. N. Apostle, Dr. Bowen, the communities of Echo Bay, Northshore, Laird, Bruce Mines, Thessalon, St. Joseph Island, my neighbours, the Free Methodist Youth group who sang to me, all of my co-workers at Light Haven, my Rexall family/friends and last but not least all of my extra kidlings.” Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take......
But....by the moments that take our breath away.
