Obituary of Giulio Tomassetti

(October 19, 1938 - May 4, 2019) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giulio Tomassetti, affectionately known as “Husky” in his 81st year. Son of the late Esterina (Ester) and late Antonio (Tony) Tomassetti. Brother of the late Vismara Mariotti (Steve).

Beloved husband of Jackie. Dear father of Anthony Tomassetti (Renee), the late Ronnie Tomassetti, Douglas Harrison (Cassandra) and Micheal Harrison (Carole). Cherished grandfather of Anthony Tomassetti Jr, Kyle, Audrey, Lilianne and Elise Harrison. He will be deeply missed by his special niece Stephanie Mariotti (Paul), close friends, family and many others.

He was happiest when he was tending his garden, playing bocce or sharing his love of food and wine. A proud member of the Marconi Club (Guglielmo Marconi Society) and the Soo “48” Club, he brought great energy to a room and was always so full of life.

As requested by Giulio, there will be no funeral services. He asked instead to cherish his memory. Memorial contributions may be made to A.R.C.H.

Remember the best times, the laughter, the sound.

The good life I have lived while I was strong and around.

Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you.

Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.

My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.

Remembering you all, and how truly I was blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small.

I will miss you all dearly, but now I am at peace.
