Reno Monaco

Obituary of Reno Fabio Monaco

Please share a memory of Reno to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Reno Monaco at ARCH on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the age of 87. Beloved husband and best friend of Isabel for 65 years. Dear brother of Eralda Wood. Cherished brother-in-law of Dominica Barsanti (Victor), Brenda Thompson (Ronald) and Elena Craftchick (Richard). Loving Uncle and Great Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Special friend of Maria Coccimiglio and family. Reno was a proud Honourary Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus for 61 years and will be missed by his fellow Knights. Reno had a knack for story telling, his knowledge of the past and charisma for sharing these great stories will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to ARCH, St. Gregory’s Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Thank you to the Doctors and nurses at the Sault Area Hospital. Special thank you to the staff at ARCH for the care and compassion shown to Reno and our family.
