Obituary of Ben Allen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Ben on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the age of 70 years. Loved father of Liisa (Eslam), Laura and Leena. Cherished Grandpa of Kayla, Ryan, Eric and Tanecia. Great Grandpa of Aalaiah and Ari. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Christina Allen. Special brother of Patricia Nardi (Fred), Tim, late Marjory Adams and the late Melvin. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. In his younger years, Ben was active and enjoyed many hobbies such as; playing the accordion, fishing, and riding motorcycle. Some of his favourite things were spending time at the casino and catching up with friends at the local Tim Hortons over a cup of coffee. Ben always had a story to tell or a hand to lend for anyone in need. He worked for many years at The Mill in Searchmont and then later at Algoma Central Railway and Parks and Recreation. His welcoming smile and gentle laugh will be missed by all who knew him. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Sault Ste.
