Obituary of Edward Rosso

After a long and courageous battle, Eddie passed away into the arms of his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the Sault Area Hospital. He leaves behind his broken-hearted family, his wife of 51 years, Nancy (Thompson), daughter, Rebecca and son-in-law Kerry Young and his precious granddaughters Victoria and Alexa Young, who were all the centre of his life above all else in the world. Eddie is the son of the late Pietro and Gina Rosso. Brother of the late Joseph Rosso (Marion) and Attilio Rosso (Mary). Son-in-law of the late Howard and late Joyce Thompson. Brother-in-law of Sharon Lemay (Phil), Bonnie Wolfe (late Gary) and the late Peggy Thompson. Eddie was an uncle and great uncle to all of the Rosso, Lemay and Wolfe children and their partners and spouses. He lived a life of generosity and kindness always giving of himself and his time willingly with not only his family, but friends, neighbours and even strangers who needed a helping hand. Eddie was abundantly blessed with multiple talents and he shared his gifts with all he knew. He was our mentor, our fixer, our go-to-person, our rock and our world will never be the same without him. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Veronica’s Church on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Ron Ambeault officiating. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the SAH Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. So many wonderful people walked this journey with him. Along with the constant loving support of family, we would want to thank Dr. Reich, Dr. Carlson and Dr. Smith (Sudbury), Dr. Booth, ParaMed Staff (especially Precy Hernando), SAH 3B staff (especially Kim), Doug Barber for his enduring friendship, neighbours Mark and Shannon Pasheri for all they’ve done to support him, his Ringette family for the joy they brought him, and Father Jean-Pierre for the beautiful sacrament of healing on the last day.
