Obituary of Ida Iacoe

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Ida Iacoe on September 10, 2019 in Paola, Cosenza (Italy). Survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Pasquale. Ida was welcomed into heaven by her cherished daughter Franca. Missing her dearly are her son Tony, daughter-in-law Marci and granddaughter Ailee. Predeceased by her parents Francesco and Rosa Medaglia.  Daughter-in-law of the late Antonio and Francesa Iacoe. Beloved sister of Rosina (late Antonio), Anna (late Rosario), Victoria (late Giuseppe), Maria (late Gino), Settimia (Giovanni), Sesta (late Luigi), Ralph (Rose), Raffaela, Elia (Benno) and the late Giovanni. Sister-in-law of the late Antonio (Claudia), the late Erminia (late Domenico), the late Emilia (late Angelo) Giuseppina (late Michele), Rosetta, Elena (late Battista) and Emma (Carmine). Zia Ida was very proud of her large extended family of nieces and nephews and loved them all very dearly. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Gregory’s Parish.  A reception will follow for friends and family in the banquet hall at St. Gregory’s Parish after the service. Memorial donations in Ida’s honour can be made to Women In Crisis (Algoma) or ARCH. Local arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
