Obituary of Michael Hickey

The Boston Bruins have lost their biggest fan and our family’s hearts are broken, Michael passed away at the Lady Dunn Health Centre in Wawa on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the age of 74. Loving wife and best friend of Edna Gagnon of 16 years. Beloved father of Tracey Hickey (Daniel Neveau), Charles Gauthier (Tamara), Susan Brandow (James) and Michael Gauthier. Michael will be missed by Edna’s daughter Jesse-Anne (Jose). Proud and fun-loving grandpa of Patricia, Austin, Jade, Autumn, Heidi (Steve), Jessica (Karl), Vanessa, Kady, Bineeshi, Alisha, Ava, Alexis, Jesse and Josefina. Mike will be missed by his beloved brothers and sisters and their families. He will be fondly remembered by the Gagnon family. A dear friend of Bob Elliot. He will be missed by fur babies Shortie and Bingo, and his feathered friends Chum and Parker. Mike was known for having the TV tuned to any sports game. He always found great peace when he was outdoors, hunting or fishing. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a time of sharing at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations to SAH Cancer Care Fund or ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
