Obituary of Geno Hyrsky

With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Geno at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, October 28, 2019 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Doreen for 59 years. Cherished father of Bill (Seija) and Jim (Robin). Grandfather of Danica, Ryan, Jacob and Cole (McKayla). Son of the late Michael and Hopka Hyrsky. Brother of the late Bill, late John (Alice). Special uncle of Suzanne, Michael (Janice), Jo-Marie Fantham (late Bob), Patty Armstrong (Sean) and David. Geno will be missed by his special friends Alex MacDonald and Ernie Shell. Brother-in-law of the late Abbie Pihlaja and Warren Pihlaja (Gerry) and nieces and nephews of the Pihlaja family. Son-in-law of the late Aimo and late Anne Pihlaja. Geno will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life Come & Go on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Grand Gardens North. Memorial donations to the F.J. Davey Home Foundation or the Ontario Finnish Resthome Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the staff at the F.J.
