Obituary of Pietro Fabiano

On Friday, January 3, 2020 at the age of 90, Peter went to join his “honey bunny”, wife of 58 years, the late Lina (Cortese). Loving father of Mariella Hales (Colin) and Nick Fabiano (Jani). Proud, dedicated & loving Nonno to the joys of his life; Jessica Hales, Justin Hales (Jessica), Christopher Hales (Brittany McClelland), Jonah Fabiano and Laura Fabiano. Great grandfather of Emmalyn Hales. Brother of Grazia Gulli (late Graziano), the late Francesco Fabiano (Maria) (late Barbara), late Liberata Pitaro (late Antonio), Caterina Gulli (late Vito) and Concetta Pitaro (late Giuseppi). Dear brother-in-law of the late Guiseppe, Franco, Anna, Caterina Cortese and Maria Cangemi (late Guiseppe) all of Italy. Zio to many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Ontario Finnish Resthome Association would be greatly appreciated. To the staff of the Ontario Finnish Rest Home - there are no words to express our deepest appreciation for the extraordinary care, dignity, courtesy and compassion shown to our dad. The entire staff from front line to management, maintenance, housekeeping and kitchen was truly remarkable. To the recreation staff - thank you for letting him dance, sing, shop, and win at Bingo. To all the visitors of the Finnish Rest Home who always took the time to say Hi Peter, we thank you. He always used to say with so much pride “everyone knows me.” It was truly a second home that gave him quality of life until the end! As he always said, “I’m with God, God’s with me.”
