It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Rita, at Extendicare Mapleview Nursing Home on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the age of 82.
Cherished wife and best friend of Frank for 59 years. Loving mother of Gabe (Leanne). Adored Nona of Justin Tessaro (Hannah) and Cassandra Tessaro (Alex).
Predeceased by her parents Achille & Argia Furlani and siblings Amelia Bazzoni, Maria Sanchioni, Vittorio Furlani, Augusto Furlani. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and family in White River and Italy. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, January 29th, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Veronica’s Church at 1:00 p.m. with Father Ron Ambeault officiating. Interment at New Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to The Alzheimer Society of SSM would be appreciated by the family. Special thank you to the staff at Extendicare Mapleview – McCarroll Lake for the care and compassion shown to Rita over the years.
