Obituary of Gary Simmons

It is with great sadness that the family of Gary Simmons announces his passing after a lengthy battle with cancer, on Tuesday,January 28, 2020, at the age of 74 years. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Sharon and his children, Gary (Karen Wasslen), Michele (Luis Guerrero) and Glenn Simmons (Cherie). Gary will also be fondly remembered by his 5 grandchildren, Andrew, Gordon, Emily, Lauren, and Logan, by his sister, Joanne Wuori (Alfred).  Gary was predeceased by his brother Bob Simmons (Carol). Son of the late Gordon and late Irene Simmons. Son-in-law of the late Johnny and late Almetta McMahan (Grandma Mett). Brother-in-law of the late Bob McMahan (late Susan) and late Kathy Pateman (Tom). A celebration of life will be held at Grand Gardens North on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. This will be a casual gathering for all family and friends to attend. Memorial donations (payable by cheque) made to ARCH or Tracy’s Dream.
