Obituary of John Porco

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John, surrounded by his family, on Friday, June 5, 2020 at the Sault Area Hospital. Beloved and adored husband to Barbara for 51 years. Cherished father of Tina Luciani (Mark), John Parco (Silvia), Lisa Planting (Patrick) and Christina Manchester (Trevor). Proud Nono to Lucia, Alyssa, Alessandro, Emilia, Jakob, Julianna, Ashlyn and Allyn. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Pileria. Loving brother to Josephine Campagna (Marcel), Nick (Paulette), Jack (Angela), and Tony (Tracy). John will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including the Naccarato and Zaccaria family. John was a hard working, kind and loyal man. He always put his children and grandchildren first. You could always find him in the hockey rink, grocery store, garden, or reminiscing with his friends and family. John enjoyed his retirement at Prince Lake, where he loved gardening, watching his grandchildren fish and swim, family gatherings, talking with the neighbours and watching the wildlife. A private family service will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
