Obituary of Ernesto D'Addario
Please share a memory of Ernesto to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
After many hard-fought battles, we are saddened to announce that Ernesto "Ernie" D'Addario, 91, fought his last fight peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. Reunited with his beloved wife, Daria (Berardi), Ernie will forever watch over his family with a glass of wine in his hand. Forever loved by his daughter, Caterina (Cathy), and sons Domenic (Charlene), Nick (Teresa) and Frank. Loving Nonno of Amanda (Anthony), Carmen (Sarah) & Adrian (Diana) Grandinetti, Joshua, Alexa, Julia & Daria D'Addario. He was "Nonno Ernie," a proud and loving great-grandfather to Abby, Jake, Rylee & Katie Grandinetti. Returning to the arms of his parents, Dominic & Nicoletta (Fontana) D'Addario, Ernie is now at peace as he also reunites with his brothers, late Gregory (infant), late Mario ("Guido"& late sister-in-law Maria) and his sister, late Ada. Brother-in-law of the late Marisa (late Salvatore) Mincone, the late Dino (Concetta) Berardi and Nicolina (late Carmen) Talucci. Survived by many nieces and nephews, Ernie will live on forever in our hearts as his family was what he lived for. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) with Father Boguslaw Jaroszek officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Tremendous gratitude and appreciation to "Dr. Jay" who initially cared for Ernie, and to Dr. Booth & Dr. Wilson who provided palliative care. A very special thank you to all of the nurses and staff in Palliative Care at the Sault Area Hospital for making Ernie's final days as comfortable as possible. Memorial donations in Ernesto's name, can be made to Holy Family Parish.
Forever in our hearts, never to be forgotten.
