MARQUIS, Patricia - It is with devastating sadness we announce the sudden passing of Patricia Ann (Patt) Marquis on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Patt was cherished by her husband, Charles and daughter, Céline Élise, adored by her mother Mary Lundhild (late Viggo), loved deeply by her sister Cathy Denomme (Jean Guy) and brother Viggo Lundhild (Sonia). Her In-laws welcomed her as family; Bob and Penny, Lina and Jack, late Dan and Olga, Jack and Myrna were blessed to share her affections. She showered her nieces and nephews with love and will be sorely missed by Daneen (Lucas), Thorvald (Shauna), Isaac, Avery (Charlie), Jillian, Nathan, Dayna, Travis, Amanda (Sean), Dylan (Jane) and Maggie (Dave). She has joined her first born child, Martin in the afterlife. This amazing woman strived to improve herself, always learning and growing. She returned to school and graduated in the field of health, safety and environment. She continued the family business and worked tirelessly, teaching others and passionately defending the environment through her work. She practiced climate activism and believed we should do better nurturing our planet and the creatures we share it with. Patt received the St. John’s Silver Cross as serving sister. She leaves behind a legacy of love, caring and selflessness. To know Patt was to experience her constantly giving, selfless nature. She would show her love with the most thoughtful (often handmade) gifts, through helping others whether emotionally or physically and gifting her time in any way she could. Her smile shone brightest when she was on the water; fishing, rowing, paddling, dragon boating or pontooning with family. Nobody could resist her delicious cookies; baking was one of the many ways she would blanket those she cared about with love. Her energy and life were obvious at any party as she lit up the dance floor. She lived 1000 years in the 59 calendar years we had with her because she attacked life; grabbed it by the shirt collar, kissed it and spun it back on the dance floor. In accordance to Patt's wishes there will be no memorial service. A celebration of life will be arranged in the near future due to the current pandemic. Memorial donations to Easter Seals would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758). www.northwoodfuneral.com
