Obituary of Rosa Longo

It is with broken hearts the family of Rosa Longo announces her sudden and unexpected passing at the age of 90. Cherished wife of Camillo for 65 years. Devoted and loving mother of Jerry (Nadia), Anne Seaton (late husband Gary) (fiancé Robert Nelli). A proud Nanna to Carina and Zak O’Connor, Justin and Leah Longo, Danielle and Matt Dias, Kristen Seaton and fiancé Jake McClelland. She was blessed and adored by her great grandchildren that loved her pasta and meatballs Keira and Valerie O’Connor & Olivia and Emma Dias. Rosa was the daughter of the late Filippo and late Angela Rossi. She comes from a family of 9 siblings with the last surviving being her cherished brother Frank Rossi (late Fiorina). A sister to the late Rita and Nicola Mannarino, late Giulia and Luigi Sdao, late Emilia and Vincenzo Coccimiglio, late Elvira and Giuseppe Padua, late Vincenzo Rossi (Ida) who resides in Toronto, late Francesca and Agostino Borsani and the late Michelina Rossi. Rosa will be missed by many sister and brother in laws, nieces and nephews and friends in Canada, Italy and France. Rosa was the happiest cooking for her family and will never be forgotten for her delicious sauce and talent to make a seven-course mouth watering meal with few ingredients. Due to the current pandemic, a private family service will be held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758). Memorial donations to The Diabetes Association or The Great Northern Retirement Home -Residents Council would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the staff at Great Northern Retirement Home for the special care given to our mother over the past few years.
