Obituary of Shirley Rankin

Peacefully passed away at the Sault Area Hospital with her family by her side on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the age of 92. Shirley is now reunited wither beloved husband and best friend Terrence “Terry” and her cherished son Tommy. Dear mother of Tim Rankin, Mary Jane Hornblower (Bruce), John Rankin and Connor Rankin (Diana). Gram of Ryan and Lucas Hornblower, Justin and Jessica Rankin, Jack, Mack, Charlie and Noah Rankin, Joshua Petrie and Brooke Wolf. Special Great Gram of Hudson Hornblower and Rowan Rankin Lay. Daughter of the late Wesley and Lylia Kidd. Sister of the late Jean Scott (J.B.). Shirley will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, friends and the Rankin family. A private graveside service has been held with Father Pat Woods officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the SAH Complex Continuing Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to the staff on 2A and 1B at the Sault Area Hospital for the care and compassion shown to our mother over the past few months.
