Obituary of Rita Favaro

(nee CANDIDO) - Peacefully passed away at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice, with her family by her side, on Thursday, July 23, 2020, in her 83rd year. She will be greatly missed by her devoted husband and best friend of 61 years, Vic Favaro Sr. Loving mother of Vic Jr. (Julie), and Lee Ann. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Jordan (Danielle), Kira Berry (Kyle), and Aaron (Emily), and her treasured great grandchildren Linnea and Milo. Daughter of the late Ernesta and Felice Candido. Sister of the late Dino Candido. Sister-in-law of Eugenia Trifiletti of Switzerland, Inglesina Amadeo of Australia, and Roberta Spadafore of Sault Ste. Marie. Long time friend of Danny and Sally Candido of Edmonton, Alberta. Rita devoted her life to caring for others and enjoyed a wonderful night-shift career as an Emergency Room Nurse at the General Hospital. A private service will be held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Monday, July 27, 2020 with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to ARCH or the Sault Area Hospital. A special thank you to nurses and doctors at the SAH on 1B and 3C, and to the wonderful staff at ARCH for their exceptional care and compassion.
