It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nelda at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the age of 91. Nelda is welcomed to heaven by her beloved family, late husband Vincenzo and her boys Danny and Duilio. She leaves behind her cherished daughter-in-law Renata Stopar and adored grandson Vinson (Charlotte). Nelda is predeceased by her large extended family. Friends and family are invited to a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Paul Conway officiating. Guests are asked to arrive by 10:45 a.m., masks are mandatory, and seating is limited to 50 guests. Memorial donations to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church would be greatly appreciated. A special thank you to Zdenka Stopar “Jessica” for the friendship and care shown to Nelda. A heartfelt thank you to the Sault Area Hospital Nursing Staff, especially Carly, for the excellent care shown to Nelda. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
