Obituary of Jutta Gioia

With heartfelt sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Jutta at the Windsor Regional Hospital on Monday, October 5, 2020 at the age of 66. Dearly loved wife of the late Carmen. Cherished mother of Barbara (Chris) and Robert. Her special bond with her grandchildren Karmyn, Brooke and Abigail will never be forgotten. Jutta lived for her granddaughters, spoiling them rotten, being their personal lawyer and their biggest dance fan. Predeceased by her parents Hans and Rosemarie Scheibel. Dear sister of Wendy Shillington (Jamie). Daughter-in-law of the late Stanislao and the late Maria Gioia. Sister-in-law of Giuseppe Gioia (Teresa), Eugene Gioia (Silvana) and Alfonso Gioia (Rita). Jutta will be dearly remembered by her special friends Gaetano and Raffaelina Iannelli and late Guenter and the late Margot Raabe. Jutta’s kind disposition gave her the gift to make friends wherever she went. She always put others needs before her own. Jutta will always be remembered by family and friends for her positive outlook on life, no matter her personal struggles. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A private funeral service will be held. A public graveside service will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those who wish to attend are invited to arrive at Northwood Funeral Home at 1:20 p.m. and park in procession, please remain in your vehicles upon arrival. The cemetery can accommodate up to 100 attendees and masks are mandatory. Memorial donations to Scleroderma Canada or the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. A sincere thank you to Dr. Nicole Apostle at the Sault Area Hospital as well as Dr. Sibbald for the care of Mom over the years. A special thank you to Marisa Gioia and Lorena Tridico for their care and support of Jutta.
